Call for Projects

Lower Savannah Council of Governments (LSCOG) announces the availability of applications for federal financial assistance to support public transportation projects serving the urbanized portion of Aiken County, SC. This Call for Projects is limited to eligible activities as defined by the Federal Transit Administration for JARC and New Freedom human services transportation programs. Eligible applicants for this funding include private nonprofit organizations; state or local governmental authorities; and/or operators of public transportation services. The availability of funds is up to $343,084 for JARC (FTA 5316) and $265,039 for New Freedom (FTA 5317). Awardees must be competitively selected among project applicants from the Augusta-Aiken Metropolitan Planning Area. Applicants providing public transportation services for the urbanized portion of Aiken County should contact Dana Luttrull or Lynnda Bassham, LSCOG 803-649-7981 with questions. ALL APPLICATIONS REPRESENTING AIKEN COUNTY MUST BE SUBMITTED to LSCOG no later than 11:00 am May 8, 2012.
